The Cinerama has very comfortable new seats in stadium style so there are never any heads in the way. The seats recline slightly to give you an excellent viewing position. The screen and sound are great. It has everything you need for a great cinema experience. I always try to see a film here as my first choice.
Cinerama is by far the best movie theater in the region with it%u2019s huge screen, balcony, and soft comfortable seats. Sure a few seats are broken, sit in one of the other thousand. I can%u2019t stand to hear people whining about this historic theater. If you%u2019re that much of a tight butt go see a movie in one of the crappy little theaters at the Meridian. Your probably the kind of person who liked %u201Cthe Reader%u201D save the Cinerama for those of us who are waiting for the next Star Trek.
It's sadly true that the seats suck, but once you're settled in it's usually a non-issue. This is the king of theaters. And when it's a full house, the experience is grand.
Best sound system around, new seats are awesome. Only drawback is the lack of free parking. Friendly staff, and it brings back fond memories. A real class act.
For big screen epics, Cinerama's massive display and monster sound system is perfect. But the seats are absolute GARBAGE. If you're lucky enough to find a chair that's not broken, chances are the guy in front will rock back into your knees in his busted seat. As if that wasn't enough, the chairs are filthy, armrests are broken, and everything is dark and sticky. Factor in Cinerama's all-pervasive dinginess and tiny, laughable restrooms, and you'll be hard-pressed to find a good reason to give Paul Allen's Cinerama your money. Go elsewhere.
